#####MA Counselling, C.C.C, APC
Joey (he/him) is a Certified Canadian Counsellor whose practice is person-centred and rooted in Narrative Therapy. He approaches therapy with non-judgmental curiosity and a deep respect for each person as the expert of their own life. The stories we tell ourselves can sometimes feel limiting or overwhelming, but Joey believes we all have the ability to shape new, meaningful narratives. Sometimes, it just takes a compassionate, curious, and creative presence to help uncover the insight and courage needed to re-author those stories.
Joey works with a range of clients, including those navigating anxiety, grief, depression, or a sense of feeling stuck. He specializes in supporting people through life transitions, including university students, athletes, and those navigating career shifts, grief, family changes, or relational and existential challenges. His goal is to create a space where these transitions can be explored with intention, curiosity, and self-compassion, uncovering both the challenges and opportunities they bring.
Through his Master’s-level education in counselling, Joey’s foundations in Narrative Therapy are complemented by Person-Centred, Existential, Feminist, and Emotion-Focused approaches, with an emphasis on social justice, meaning-making, and cultural literacy. Outside of counselling, Joey is a university basketball coach, photographer, videographer, writer, dog-dad, and lover of sports and pop culture.

#####Osteopathic Manual Therapist
Karleen’s goal as an Osteopathic Manual Therapist is getting to the root cause of aches, pains and dysfunctions. Karleen uses the Osteopathic approach which emphasizes the interrelationship of structure and function of the body, facilitates the body’s innate ability to heal itself, and supports a whole-person approach by the practice of manual therapy.
Osteopathy found Karleen after she completed her Bachelors in Kinesiology and sought out treatment for motion sickness that she had endured since childhood. Her experience receiving her first cranial Osteopathy treatment sparked an interest in holistic healthcare and lead her to enrolling with the Canadian School of Osteopathy. During her time in the program she developed a special interest in treating the skull and became a certified Craniosacral Therapist. Beyond just helping her clients get back to themselves, Karleen’s goals are to educate and support her clients to take charge of their health.
When she is not in the clinic, Karleen spends her time with her husband and daughter. She enjoys the outdoors, being active at the gym, running with her dog, and baking.

Hi, my name is Kelly Chambers!
My goal as an Athletic Therapist is to help individuals get back to their level of activity, whether it be everyday activities or back to competition.
After working the last few years as a field-based therapist, I have developed a strong understanding of the demands required of athletes to return to top performance. I am the Head Athletic Therapist for the Winnipeg Sea Bears, and I have knowledge in soft tissue release, dry needling, and instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization – such as cupping and blade techniques.
I have a firm belief that exercise and mobility are a strong foundation to recovering and rehabbing injuries. I want to ensure that I have provided everyone with the necessary knowledge and understanding to make sure you are prepared to return to activity and to help prevent further issues.

My goal as a Massage Therapist is to facilitate your recovery and get you feeling physically and emotionally well again.
My treatment is geared towards a myofascial approach while integrating dynamic movement. That’s right! I want you to move while we treat you. I also integrate a more neurological approach to treatment. We want to trick the brain into feeling “safe” by using modalities or additional instruments such as cupping and taping.
If you have chronic pain, restricted mobility, have had an acute injury, or are trying to crush a new personal record, set up an appointment with me and let’s get you feeling strong and well again!
I am a lifelong learner and am constantly increasing my knowledge base with certification courses. I am currently certified in the following areas:
Laser Therapy, Cupping, Manual Muscle Testing, Mobility/Movement Specialist, Myofascial Release, Structural Integration, and Kinesiotaping.
I look forward to getting to know you!

I want you to succeed and live “the good life”. I am a proponent of Humanistic, Cognitive-Behavioural, and Solution-Focused methodologies. I am also a strong advocate of positive psychological approaches. I believe living well requires more than just fixing your problems. It is equally important for you to appreciate what is going well in your life. This means recognizing and
finding new ways to capitalize on your strengths and personal resources in new ways that contribute to your overall wellbeing and happiness.
Over the years, I have worked with adolescents, and adults who are experiencing challenges related to many areas including but not limited to anxiety, depression, life transitions, LGBTQ2S+ and coming out, relationship difficulties, self-defeating behaviours, grief and loss, stress and burn out, low self-esteem, trauma/PTSD/CPTSD, disordered eating, body image issues, perfectionism, procrastination, ADHD, and self-advocacy. In addition, I have spent many years counselling and supporting individuals with disabilities (e.g., physical, intellectual, learning, developmental, and multiple). I have also worked with individuals who have conditions such as bi-polar disorder, schizophrenia, psychosis, and borderline-personality disorder.
I also believe that living the good life means that we build in time for ourselves - to focus on self-care, stress reduction, and relaxation. I am passionate about self-care and highly knowledgeable in a variety of stress reduction and relaxation techniques such as mindfulness, progressive muscle relaxation, alternate-nostril breathing, diaphragmatic breathing, and somatic based approaches.
As a lifelong learner, I have spent several years at university and have a substantial background in counselling psychology. Prior to obtaining my Ph.D. in Education, I completed both my Master’s degree and a Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Education in Counselling Psychology at the University of Manitoba. My training included individual and group counselling at the Student Counselling and Career Centre at the University of Manitoba, which is accredited by the Canadian Psychological Association and the American Psychological Association. I also have a Baccalauréat ès Arts from l’Université de Saint Boniface where I majored in psychology. I work at the University of Manitoba as the Director of a program that supports students with
intellectual and developmental disabilities and as a psychotherapist and clinical supervisor in private practice. I also work as an educator at the University of Manitoba where I teach courses in counselling and behaviour at the P.B.D.E and graduate levels.
During my time at university, I was the recipient of two major scholarships, several smaller scholarships, and awards. I have published articles in several academic journals such as the British Journal of Learning Disabilities, Exceptionality Education International, Intersectionalities: A Global Journal of Social Work, Analysis, Research, Polity, and Practice, the American Association for Individuals with Developmental Disabilities Manitoba Journal of
